LEAF Schools & Streets presents Cherokee Warriors of AniKituhwa at the Orange Peel
The Warriors of AniKituhwa will share the rich and moving history of Cherokee dance, language and dress through their one hour performance. The Warriors of AniKituhwa have been recreating and persevering Cherokee dance since 2003 based on descriptions preserved in a 1762 manuscript. Named official ambassadors of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians by the Tribal Council, these talented dancers have been sharing the dance, history and culture of the Cherokee throughout the southeast.
